How Much Does a Kashmir Holiday from Malaysia Really Cost?

Kashmir is one of our most-requested trips from Malaysia — and it costs less than most people fear. We've run group departures all-in for as little as RM 3,899 per person — flights, hotels, meals and visa included. Here's an honest breakdown of what a Kashmir and Taj Mahal holiday really costs in 2026.

“How much is a Kashmir trip?” is a question we are asked more than almost any other. The honest answer is that it depends — but usually less than people fear. Kashmir has become one of our most-requested destinations from Malaysia, and after arranging these journeys for years, I would rather give you real numbers than a vague “from RM X”. Here is what a Kashmir holiday actually costs a Malaysian traveller in 2026, broken down plainly.

The short answer

We've run a Kashmir and Taj Mahal group tour all-in for as little as RM 3,899 per person — and here is the important part: that price already included your return flights, hotels, daily meals, sightseeing and your India visa. On a group departure, the headline number sits very close to the all-in number.

That figure is for a group departure on set dates, twin-sharing — the best value we offer. A private, tailor-made trip on your own dates costs a little more per person, and a longer itinerary (a fuller week or ten days in the valley) is priced to match. Beyond the tour itself, all you really need is personal spending money.

What's included at that price

On a group tour, a price like that really does cover most of the trip. It covers your return air tickets — Kuala Lumpur to India and back, plus the internal flight up to Srinagar — your hotels for the whole stay, daily meals, all sightseeing and private ground transport, and your India visa, which we process for you.

That is what makes Kashmir such good value from Malaysia: it is a genuine all-in tour price, not a land-only figure with flights, meals and visa quietly stacked on afterwards.

What you'll spend on top

Plan for a little personal spending — roughly RM 500 to RM 1,000 per person. That comfortably covers the upper stage of the Gulmarg gondola, pony rides at Pahalgam and Sonmarg, the occasional meal or activity outside the set itinerary, tips, and the Kashmiri shawls and saffron you will not be able to resist. Beyond that, the tour has you covered.

Where the price really moves

Season. April and May — tulips and blossom — and the autumn chinar are peak, and priced accordingly. The green shoulder months and the winter snow are gentler on the wallet for the same valleys.

Hotels and the houseboat. A night on a Dal Lake houseboat is a highlight we can build in, and more nights can be added. Moving from standard to deluxe hotels lifts the price meaningfully — it is the easiest dial to turn up or down.

Group versus private. A group departure on set dates is the best value we offer. A private trip on your own dates costs a little more per head but travels entirely on your schedule — and for a family of four or more it is often close in price and far more comfortable.

What we include — and what we tell you plainly we don't

Our quote sets out exactly what is in and what is not, so nothing surprises you at the airport. Typically included: accommodation, the houseboat night, private transfers and sightseeing, a guide and breakfasts. Typically not included: international flights, lunches and dinners, the gondola's second stage, pony rides, some entry tickets, and personal spending.

We would rather say that up front than bury it in the fine print. A trip that begins with an honest, itemised quote is a trip nobody has to worry about.

How to keep it sensible

Join a group departure — it is the best value we offer, and the price already bundles flights, hotels, meals and visa.

Book early. Group seats and the best fares go first, especially for the popular snow and spring dates.

Travel in the shoulder season for the same scenery at a gentler price.

Bring family or friends — for a private trip, the per-person cost drops as the group grows.

So — is Kashmir worth it?

For a trip to one of the most beautiful places on earth — the meadows of Gulmarg, a Shikara on Dal Lake, and the Taj Mahal to finish — a group price at that level, flights and visa included, is remarkable value. It is the holiday our travellers most often describe as the one they will never forget.

Prices depend on your dates, group size and choices, so the honest next step is a real quote. Tell us who is travelling and when, and we will send you our next group departure or build a private Kashmir itinerary — with a clear, all-in price.
